How does Shopify normally calculate shipping for multiple items?
By default, Shopify treats all items in an order as fitting in one box with the dimensions of the largest item. This means multi-item orders are nearly always undercharged for shipping. BoxRight replaces this with accurate multi-box calculation based on actual product dimensions.
Which carriers does BoxRight support?
BoxRight supports all carriers that provide live rate APIs through Shopify Carrier Service: FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, Canada Post and most regional carriers. Calculated shipping must be enabled on your Shopify plan (available on Shopify plan and above, or with an annual subscription on Basic).
Can I set different box sizes for different products?
Yes — assign specific box dimensions and weight to each product variant individually. BoxRight stores dimensions at the variant level, so a large and small variant of the same product can have different box requirements.
